There are to many children (and adults) either riding bicycles, jogging, or pushing baby strollers on Burning Tree and Pinehurst Drive to safely accommodate city bus service. Other concerns are bus noise and pollution in this residential area.

I haven't seen a need for this yet nor have I heard anyone express a need. It just doesn't seem justifiable just now in our economic situation.

There is almost no demand for this service. Buses would be a significant disruption to vehicle traffic flow and pedistrian/bicycle traffic. The traffic islands and speed tables on Pinehurst make it difficult for cars to safely pass pedestrian/bike traff

Have the busses run on streets where they can pick up and let off passengers. No one in our neighborhood takes a bus. By passing 15-501 is a mistake. Stay on the main corridors.

    This is public safety issue!!

I am a resident of the Oaks III and I do not approve of expansion of bus service through our neighborhood. It is wasteful, polluting, expensive, and economically unsustainable.

This is a pedestrian area, where people from different neighborhoods come to walk, run, play and enjoy fresh air. A bus route on Pinehurst is a bad idea, not fiscally responsible. It seems like the Town Council is just looking for ways to spend money it d

There is no need for this service and the expense cannot be justified.
  • 28/10/10270. Kathleen
Bad idea. No use here. We have spent thousands to install speed bumps to allow children to play safely. Not a bus route.

Totally unnecessary and a waste of taxpayer's money!
